Well, we just saw 786, which seems to exist entirely to sell the soundtrack album, consisting heavily of a Selby-narrated musical dream sequence where the lyrics of “Shadows of the Night” are read to Charity. This is on the heels of an especially since (I think) 778 included another musical-theatre dream sequence.
Meanwhile, Evan Hanley, mutilated by the Hand, is running around in makeup so hideous that I fully understand why kids had nightmares. Amazing. This show has everything!
A far cry from the Burke Devlin Maybe Blackmail Blues.
