Our flexible online and onsite programs are designed to complement your career and equip you to transform your life. For over 30 years, our flexible learning formats have been focused on making access, success and transformation possible for every student. Continuing your education has never been more convenient. IWU offers a wide variety of online programs, meaning the classroom is with you wherever you go. We also offer many of our programs in an onsite format in education centers across Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
The program is designed for individuals who wish to understand adult learning in the context of global change, and thereby improve their professional practice. Students proceed through the two-year, credit program as a cohort drawn from the four participating institutions. Instructors are also drawn from these universities; students will benefit from a truly international staff. The curriculum covers adult learning found in different cultural contexts and the roles learning plays in understanding and responding to globalizing forces and their impacts. The program encourages the development of a broad critical perspective on the relationship between adult learning and global change as experienced and understood throughout the world. Students enrolled through UBC will work on collaborative projects with students from other countries.
As they offer themselves in service, ELCA young adults are shaped by the witness of our global neighbors. They share in the journeys of companion churches and organizations in one of ten countries around the world. A year of service through the Young Adults in Global Mission program invites young adults to become the hands and feet of Jesus in the world, providing critical support to ministries and projects in communities of need. Young adults serve in the spirit of accompaniment, walking alongside global companions in a manner that practices mutuality, interdependence and solidarity.
The global tobacco epidemic has now assumed pandemic proportions, with about 1. GATS assists countries to track tobacco control policies. With this important tool, we can invest our resources where most needed for saving lives. Strong partnerships were central to the successful implementation of GATS in our country, and the data obtained have been instrumental in the development of our national tobacco control policy.
